Preventative Care

purple_posts_preventativeRegular brushing and flossing at home helps to reduce bacterial plaque formation which are what cause cavities and periodontal problems.Regular professional dental cleanings will remove any plaque that remains to ensure good oral health. Examinations by the dentist can help detect problems early so that we may possibly use less invasive procedures to correct them. We don’t just look at the teeth and gums…..we also check tissues for signs of oral cancer or other pathology.

Research is beginning to find links between poor oral health and medical conditions such as cardiovascular problems, diabetes, and problems during pregnancy. Preventive dental care is good for your general health!
